Analytics and privacy
Match Insights uses first-party usage measurements to improve its research pages. The browser sends a random browser ID, a 30-minute session ID, a page path, device category and selected actions. Campaign labels and the referring website may also be recorded.
Browser IDs are not a count of people. The event system does not store passwords, email addresses, payment details, complete referring URLs or the words you enter in search. It does not use these measurements to change game balances or award bonuses.
Browser IDs are stored locally. Removing site storage resets that browser identifier. The tracker respects the browser's Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals where provided. Staff visits can be excluded from reports.
Signed-in research-account use and successful watchlist saves are counted separately from anonymous browsing. An observed research account is not treated as proof that a new account was created. These records support the research account features and access-controlled administration.
The admin report provides date ranges up to 90 days. A reporting window is not a statement that older records have been deleted. This page describes this analytics feature; it does not promise anonymity for information you submit to authentication or payment providers.
