Read the price, then measure the noise.
Two small calculators for checking football numbers yourself. One turns decimal odds into implied probabilities and shows the overround. The other shows how widely results can vary even when a probability is correct.
These are educational calculations. They do not produce match forecasts, recommend a selection or guarantee any result. Calculations run in your browser; the values you type are not sent or recorded.
Odds and overround calculator
Decimal odds of 2.50 imply a probability of 1 divided by 2.50, or 40%. Across every outcome of a market, implied probabilities usually add up to more than 100%. The excess is the overround: the margin built into the prices. Enter odds for 2 to 20 outcomes that together cover every possibility, such as home, draw and away.
Forecast uncertainty range
Suppose a model says a team wins 55% of matches like these. Over 20 matches you would expect 11 wins, but chance alone spreads real results widely. This tool gives the central 95% binomial range, assuming independent matches and a constant, known probability. Real football is messier, so treat the range as a minimum.
